It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the characteristics of cyberspace that makes risk assessment hard, such as the complexity of systems, lots of dependencies to external and internal factors, and threats that can reside anywhere in the world.

However, there is also an upside. Since cyber-systems are computerized, there is a lot of useful information that can be obtained from security testing, logs and monitoring of networks and applications.
Make use of it!

WISER aims to build a framework to collect such information, combine it with business information and aggregate it all into a continously updated risk picture to support decision makers in selecting the right mitigations.
